Abstract | ||||
From the chloroformic fraction of the leaves of Tarchonanthus camphoratus L (Compositae), a new guaianolide sesquiterpene lactone which were named tarchonanthenolide and the known germacranolide parthenolide were isolated. In addn. luteoline 7-O-glucoside was obtained from the ethanolic fraction of the leaves. Moreover, the biol. screening showed that the ethanolic ext. of the leaves possesses a significant analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anticonvulsant activities. | ||||
