Abstract | ||||
This paper presents the design and evaluation of a speed control scheme for a DC series motor supplied by Photovoltaic (PV) system. The proposed design problem of speed controller is formulated as an optimization problem. Bacteria Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA) is employed to search for optimal controller parameters by minimizing the time domain objective function. The performance of the proposed technique has been evaluated with respect to load torque variation, ambient temperature and radiation. Simulation results have shown the validity of the proposed technique in cont ling the speed of DC series motor under different disturbances. | ||||
