Abstract | ||||
This paper presents a genetic algorithm (GA) optimization technique to determine the optimum switching angles of the multilevel inverter. This technique is used to eliminate low order harmonics of output voltage to minimize the total harmonic distortion (THD), with different levels of configurations. The effectiveness of this technique is tested by simulation results, which are used for calculating the optimum switching angles of three-phase li-level inverters, with equal and unequal DC supplies. Finally, the results show that the GA technique gives lower THD compared with results reported in the literatures using other techniques. | ||||
