Abstract | ||||
This paper indicated that the strength and hardness of Al-Si alloys are, influenced slightly by superheating and Si content. However the ductility (6) is affected markedly by pouring temperature (i.e. superheating) and Si content too. For the hypereutectic Al-Si alloy the pouring temperature must be as minimum as possible to obtain the best properties. The Si segregation is influenced also by the Si content. | ||||
