Abstract | ||||
Textiles are considered one of the most important fabrics which we can use it in producing clothes. And, accordingly, the material is formed to meet the functional requirements of the clothing, there are many methods for converting yarns into textiles, and each method produces a special type of fabric that has its different shape and properties, and the simplest types of textiles are basically consist of two groups of interwoven yarns (one in the vertical direction of the cloth and called warp yarns, and the other in the horizontal direction and called the weft yarns), fabrics are woven using special tools such as looms, which vary to include manual looms (such as frame looms and table looms), mechanical or automatic looms, when we look to the textile structures used by hand weaving, we find the most common of which are plain, twill, and satin structures. The fabric is produced from the loom in a form of fixed width meters and limited on both sides by selvedges. these fabrics are used in producing various clothes and furnishings, women's outerwear is one of the products that can be made of woven fabrics, where the traditional method of its production depends on choosing the appropriate material for the design, then preparing the pattern and applying it to the fabric to perform cutting process, and after the completion of the cutting stage we notice that the cut parts need to make some safe sewing on the edges to prevent them from raveling, besides wasting a part of the fabric as a result of Shearing process, we also find that this method does not allow the optimal use of the textile design of the material. On the other hand, we find the fully-fashion technique used in the production of knitwear, in which clothing is produced as separate parts (front - back - sleeve), where the parts come out of the machine like rectangles curved in the neck and armholes, and therefore do not need partial cutting, hence the idea of research arose, studying the possibility of utilizing the hand-weaving to produce some women's outerwear in the light of fully-fashion technique. Research problem: What is the possibility of creating designs for women's outerwear using hand-weaving? - What is the possibility of producing women's outerwear using hand-woven fabric, similar to fully-fashion technique? Objectives:1. Creating innovative designs for women's outerwear using hand-weaving.2. Producting woven clothing parts as separate parts (front - back - sleeves) without the need for partial cutting. 3. Producing woven pieces with clean edges so that it doesn't ravel, and does not need safety seams. 4. Reduction the economic cost by reducing the waste in the yarns used in the hand-weaving. Methodology.The research follows the experimental method. | ||||
