Abstract | ||||
A lack of Educational Modules targeting packaging of readymade garments Industry in educational institutions in general, and in higher education institutions, in particular has been observed. Hence the idea of how to employ multimedia in a proposed educational module immediately leaped into mind to help female students acquire knowledge in packaging of readymade garments Industry. The research question therefore being addressed is: How can a proposed educational module be developed using multimedia to enable female students to acquire knowledge in packaging of readymade garments industry (RMG)? This study aims to: Design a proposed multimedia program to provide knowledge about the packaging of garments industry, to identify the instructional design used in the proposed multimedia program and to Measure the effectiveness of the proposed educational module in providing the basic knowledge of garment packaging. Hypotheses: There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group of female students in the Pre/Post-test applications for cognitive achievement in favor of the post-application. And The electronic multimedia program is effective. This research follows two approaches: Descriptive approach; to address the theoretical framework of the research, and to identify the basic knowledge of garment packaging. And The experimental approach; to identify the effectiveness of the proposed educational unit in providing the basic knowledge of garment packaging. The sample consisted of (10) female students from clothing and textile department at King Abdulaziz University. The study followed the one group experimental design. Research tools were applied to the research sample preliminarily. After treatment using the proposed multimedia program, research tools were again applied to the research sample in order to identify the effectiveness of the proposed educational unit in providing the basic knowledge of garment packaging. Results: There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the knowledge acquired before and after the application in favor of the post-test. | ||||
