| Abstract | ||||
| The carbon footprint is a term used to describe the total amount of carbon dioxide CO2 and other greenhouse gases GHG’s emissions for which an individual or organization is responsible. The main objective of this study is to calculate the carbon footprint (CFP) in Alexandria governorate. This study relies on calculating emissions of GHG’s from the major energy consumptions (Electricity, Natural Gas, Diesel, and Gasoline) and Waste in the area under investigation, which ran from 2010 through 2015. In addition to determining the contribution of Alexandria governorate to climate change and its share of the volume of GHG’s emissions in Egypt. This study concluded that the total carbon footprint of Alexandria governorate is 8.94 million ton CO2e/year. The electricity and petroleum consumptions contribute with about 93% of the total carbon footprint of Alexandria governorate | ||||
