| Abstract | ||||
| Clothes design and their accessories is a plastic art which requires an artist designer with both fine sense and clever art. Adornment is a human phenomenon adopted by man since antiquity, and it is difficult to determine the history of this relationship that developed in different times and regions under the impact of changing cultural factors, but something remains constant no matter how different these factors are, namely, man's desire for adornment (Nadia Khalil: 1999). Clothes accessories are things or pieces which accompany clothes and work to increase their effect leading to the perfection and beauty of clothes from both aesthetic and functional aspects (Manal El-Deeb: 2010). They refer to accessories attached to the organic body of man. The Study Problem: The problem of the present study lies in finding out the impact of external factors on the glass beads used in embroidery handwork, and the extent of change they undergo. Objective of Study: The impact of different external factors on the aesthetic values of the glass beads used in handwork embroidery in women’s wear. Methodology: The research sought to achieve this goal by providing a descriptive analytical study with experiments that contributed to determine what is embroidery, embroidery materials, what are the beads, their forms and types, beads in the past and present, and also through reviewing the previous studies dealing with beads and their results. Results: According to the findings of statistical analysis, the following points are worthy of discussion: • There are no differences between the washes "5,10, 15,20" for each of (Crystal 10, Crystal 8, Crystal 6, Glass Beads-Bugles size 3 loose, Glass Beads-Bugles size 3 loose, Glass Beads-two cut beads size 9/0 loose, Glass Beads Rocailles size 10/0, Glass Beads size 9/0, Glass Beads size 9/0, Glass Beads Rocailles size 5/0 loose). This means that the aesthetic values of the previous beads are not affected by frequent washing. There were differences between the washes "5,10, 15, 20" for each of (Glass Beads size 9/0 loose, Glass Beads size 10/0 loose, Glass Beads size 2.6/2.6 mm loose, Glass Beads-two cut beads size 9/0). This shows the need to use (crystal 10) beads. This means that the aesthetic values of the previous beads are affected by frequent washing. As a result of statistical analysis, the two researchers recommend using materials whose aesthetic values were not affected (glass beads) by frequent washing when making embroidery on clothing products, while using the rest of the types is not recommended since they are affected by repeated washing. • There are differences statistically significant between different samples at level 0.01 (crystal 10 was the best of different samples of coloured glass beads in the light test, followed by Glass Beads-two cut beads size 9/0 loose, Crystal 8, Crystal 6, Glass Beads-Bugles size 3 loose, Glass Beads size 9/0 , Glass Beads size 2.6/2.6 mm, Glass Beads two cut beads size 9/0, Glass Beads size 9/0 , then Glass Beads-Rocailles size 5/0 loose, Glass Beads-Bugles size 3 loose, Glass Beads size 10/0 loose , and then Glass Beads size 9/0 loose, and finally Glass Beads- Rocailles size 10/0 loose). This shows that it is better to use beads (Crystal 10) when making the embroidery on the clothing products so that the aesthetic values of the glass beads are not affected by exposure to artificial light. From these results, it recommended to use crystal 10 beads in the embroidery products since its aesthetic value is influenced by exposure to light. | ||||
