Abstract | ||||
Saudi Arabia demonstrates concern for the quality of its educational infrastructures. For example, ensuring qualified staff, establishing challenging curriculums, building high quality school facilities and ultimately providing excellent student outcomes including achievement, behavior, and attitude. This study examines therelationship between stairway wall displays in school buildings and student adherence to school rules during the use of the stairways. The study aims to identify the impact of “photos with positive actions” for increasing positive behavior between students and helping them adhere to the rules. The study was conducted in one private elementary school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 160 students were selected for the research study, aged between 6-11 years. Behaviour mapping was used as a tool for collecting data. The results of the study confirmed that the stairway displays decreased inappropriate behavior and reduced complaints from the students 30%. Finally, the results confirmed the hypothesis that stairway wall displays increase positive student behavior and increase adherence to the rules. | ||||
