Abstract | ||||
يعد حوض وادي نَعمَان من الأظهرة المائية والزراعية المهمة لمدينة مکة المکرمة. ويحوي الحوض موارد طبيعية جيدة مما تجعله قابلاً لتنميةٍ زراعيةٍ کبيرة، إذ أن ربع مساحة الحوض تقريباً ذو تربٍ عميقةٍ ذات قدرةٍ متوسطةٍ على حفظ الماء. ومع هذا فإن دراسات سابقة للحوض قد أکدت تناقص المساحات الزراعية وإنتاجيتها بفعل تعرية التربة بالسيول الجارفة. وقد اختار الباحث واحداً من نماذج التعرية التي طورت أصلاً للمناطق الجبلية، وهو نموذج جافريلوفيک للتعرية، لتحديد مخاطر التعرية المائية السطحية في الحوض, وقد طبق ذلک النموذج باستخدام تقنيتي الاستشعار عن بعد ونظم المعلومات الجغرافية. وقد أمکن حساب قابلية مواد الحوض للتعرية ومقدار تعرية المواد سنوياً على مستوى الحوض، وعلى مستوى الأحواض الجزئية انطلاقاً من حسابها على مستوى الخلية. وتبين من هذه الدراسة أن أقدام المنحدرات وما يليها باتجاه مخرج الحوض عرضةً دائمةً لسيولٍ جارفةٍ نتيجة للطابع البنيوي للحوض المصاحب بانحداراتٍ شديدة، بالإضافة إلى فقر الغطاء النباتي الذي يعد عاملاً مهماً في إبطاء سرعة الجريان السطحي، وکذلک ضعف التدابير البشرية لتخفيف أضرار السيول في تعرية التربة. وقد اتضح من هذه الدراسة أن الحوض بأجمعه يتعرض لمخاطر التعرية المائية بدرجات متفاوتة، حيث يعظم خطر التعرية في الأجزاء الجنوبية والغربية وأقل من ذلک في المنابع العليا الشمالية. وظهر أيضاً من هذه الدراسة أن أکثر من نصف مساحة الحوض يتعرض لتعرية مؤثرة، وأن 18٪ من مساحة الحوض تتعرض لجرف شديد جدا. وقُدر المعدل السنوي للتعرية المائية بنحو 528 م3/کم2/السنة، وکان أدنى الحوض تحديداً بالإضافة إلى حوضي المجيريش ورهجان هي الأکثر تأثراً بمخاطر التعرية المائية، مما يستدعي بالضرورة إتباع مجموعة من وسائل التحکم، خاصة في الأحواض الجزئية العليا، لتقليص مخاطر التعرية في الحوض. | ||||
