Abstract | ||||
Automated hydroponic systems are revolutionizing modern agriculture by providing efficient, sustainable methods for crop cultivation. This paper examines the principles, applications, and advancements of automated hydroponics, emphasizing the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, mobile applications, and computer vision. These systems enable precise control over environmental factors, optimizing growth conditions and resource use. Various hydroponic techniques, such as Ebb and Flow, Nutrient Film Technique, and Aeroponics, are analyzed for their effectiveness in enhancing food production. The paper also discusses the role of data analytics and artificial intelligence in improving decision-making processes within hydroponic environments. Through a review of recent literature and case studies, the benefits—such as increased yields and reduced environmental impact—are highlighted, alongside challenges including high setup costs and technical complexities. The findings underscore the importance of innovation in addressing global food security and sustainability challenges, positioning automated hydroponics as a critical solution for the future of agriculture. | ||||
