| Abstract | ||||
| يتناول هذا البحث دراسة تحليلية لمسرحية مدمرون (Blasted) للكاتبة البريطانية سارة كين، مُسلطًا الضوء على تجليات العنف والضعف فيها من خلال بنيتها الحداثية والرمزية، التي تعكس عُمق القضايا الإنسانية المعاصرة. وتُعد المسرحية من أبرز الأعمال التي تعكس التأثير المدمر للحرب على الأفراد والعلاقات الإنسانية، حيث تكشف عن التداخل المُعقد بين العنف الجسدي، والنفسي، والاجتماعي، في سياق يسلط الضوء على هشاشة الإنسان في مواجهة قوى التدمير، ما يجعلها نموذجًا صادمًا لمسرح المواجهة (In-Yer-Face Theatre)، حيث يُستخدم العنف كأداة لاستفزاز الوعي وإعادة النظر في وحشية الواقع الإنساني. واعتمد البحث على المنهجين الوصفي والتحليلي الأدبي, لدراسة كيفية تجسيد كين لهذه الموضوعات عبر شخصياتها وسياقها السردي. وأظهرت نتائج البحث أن العنف في المسرحية ظهر بمستويات متعددة، بدءًا من العنف الفردي وصولًا إلى العنف الجماعي المرتبط بالحرب، ليعكس الدمار الجسدي والنفسي الذي تعانيه الشخصيات. ومع ذلك، لا يُقدم الضعف بوصفه نقيضًا للعنف، بل كوجه آخر له، إذ تتجلى هشاشة الشخصيات في استسلامها للقوى التدميرية المحيطة بها، مما يثير تساؤلات حول تأثير العنف في تشكيل الهوية الإنسانية. وتتبنى كين أسلوبًا سرديًا غير تقليدي، إذ يتلاشى الحد الفاصل بين الواقع والخيال، والفردي والجماعي، مما يمنح النص طابعًا حداثيًا يعكس فوضوية العالم الذي تصوره. ومن خلال توظيف الصدمة والعنف، تحث المسرحية الجمهور على مواجهة المعاناة البشرية بعمق، متجاوزة الأساليب المسرحية التقليدية. كما تستخدم كين الرموز لتقديم رؤية نقدية للعنف المجتمعي والسياسي، مما يجعل المسرحية عملًا يتحدى التابوهات، ويدفع المتلقي إلى التأمل في طبيعة الإنسان وسط العنف والدمار. This research provides an analytical reading of Blasted by British playwright Sarah Kane, shedding light on the representations of violence and vulnerability through its modernist structure and symbolism, which reflect the depth of contemporary human issues. The play stands out as one of the most striking works depicting the devastating impact of war on individuals and human relationships. It reveals the complex interplay between physical, psychological, and social violence, highlighting human fragility in the face of destructive forces. This makes it a shocking model of In-Yer-Face Theatre, where violence is used as a tool to provoke awareness and challenge perceptions of the brutality of human existence. The study employs both descriptive and literary analytical methods to examine how Kane portrays these themes through her characters and narrative structure. The findings indicate that violence in the play manifests on multiple levels, ranging from individual aggression to collective violence linked to war, reflecting the physical and psychological devastation experienced by the characters. However, vulnerability is not presented as the opposite of violence but rather as its counterpart. The characters’ fragility is revealed in their surrender to the destructive forces surrounding them, raising questions about the role of violence in shaping human identity. Kane adopts a non-traditional narrative style, blurring the boundaries between reality and fantasy, the individual and the collective, granting the text a modernist quality that mirrors the chaos of the world it portrays. Through the use of shock and violence, the play urges the audience to confront human suffering on a deeper level, surpassing conventional theatrical techniques. Additionally, Kane employs symbolism to offer a critical perspective on social and political violence, making Blasted a work that challenges taboos and compels the audience to reflect on the nature of humanity amidst destruction and violence. | ||||
