Abstract | ||||
The study examined Organizational Silence (OS) and its impact on Organizational Outcomes through an applied study on information specialists in the libraries of Assiut University. (OS) includes four pillars, namely: submissive silence, defensive silence, protective silence, and prosocial silence. The Organizational Outcomes also includes four dimensions, which are: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, job performance, and intention to leave work. To achieve the objectives of the study, the study relied mainly on the field research methodology, in addition to the analytical descriptive methodology to identify all librarians within the University of Assiut college and institute libraries, using the questionnaire as the primary for data collection, from the point of view of the Information specialists. The number of the study community sample was (281) persons who answered the questionnaire, which represents 71.32% of the total number of librarians at these libraries. The study reached several results, including: the availability of all the (OS) pillars achieved a medium level in the libraries of Assiut University colleges and institutes, was available 61.10%, and the Organizational Outcomes dimensions achieved a low level was available 45.52%. The study recommends raising the Organizational Voice, reducing the level of Organizational Silence, increasing the rates of Organizational Outcomes and their various dimensions, in addition to supporting and appreciating the librarians financially, morally, and socially. | ||||
