| Abstract | ||||
| Visual storytelling had a communicative role, as it conveyed visual stories about human life activities in times before the invention of writing. Visual narrative continued to tell the story of art throughout its history. With technological progress, the communicative role of visual storytelling extended, which was integrated with the narrative of information content in the digital age, to present content topics in context-organized formats with user interfaces, which were termed visual stories. Considering what is known as the Cognitive Load Theory, visual storytelling has an explanatory role for cognitive content and messages using visual media, as a more effective and influential means of presenting content to the user. People tend to follow narrative contexts and perceive connotations from images and visuals as an easier way than reading content topics on screens. Therefore, this paper focuses on the importance of expressing visual narratives in digital content stories, not only for what provides in terms of a better user experience at the level of the communicative function, but also for its importance in enhancing the aesthetic user experience. | ||||
