Abstract | ||||
As one of the representative figures in contemporary Chinese literature, Liang Xiaosheng's novels are often marked by a distinctive autobiographical tone. Aimed at young readers, Liang Xiaosheng wrote the autobiographical coming-of-age novel “My Troubles During Growing Up”. The work recounts the author’s experiences from childhood to adolescence, leading readers to understand that growing up is a continuous process of self-correction and gradually learning to shoulder responsibility. This paper aims to provide an in-depth analysis of “My Troubles During Growing Up”, exploring its literary characteristics, thematic implications, and its value and influence in contemporary literature. Through close textual reading and theoretical analysis, the paper reveals how Liang Xiaosheng integrates personal experiences and reflections into the novel, portraying the journey of individual growth within the context of China’s social transformation. | ||||
