| Abstract | ||
| الملخـص: يدور البحث حول فريق من أبناء جلدتنا يتكلمون بألسنتنا، لكنهم في الواقع يتحدثون باسم غيرنا، حيث آمنوا بأفكار الغرب، وتشبعوا بآرائه، وأصبحوا باسم حرية الفكر والاجتهاد يثيرون الشكوك والشبهات حول سيرة النبي –صلي الله عليه وسلم-فصاروا دعاة لأفكار الغرب، ومرددين لآرائه، ويحاول البحث الوقوف على معرفة الفكر الحداثي من حيث النشأة والنشاط والآثار، والرد على بعض التساؤلات التي آثارها حول سيرة النبي محمد- صلي الله عليه وسلم- وتوصل الباحث في نهاية بحثه الي أن الحداثة نشأت في البيئة الغربية لظروف وأحوال خاصة بهم، وبانتصار الحداثة في الغرب تأثر بها بعض مفكري المسلمين نتيجة الاحتكاك بهم، وأن نظرة الفكر الحداثي في التعامل مع النصوص والتراث في أنها قائمة على التاريخ والعقل والتأويل، ثم يقوم الفكر الحداثي بتفكيك النص عن تاريخية هذا النص، أو عدم قبول العقل لهذا النص أو تأويله . Abstract : This study explores a faction from within the Muslim community—individuals who speak our language yet articulate the voice of others. These figures have embraced Western ideologies, internalized its paradigms, and under the guise of intellectual freedom and ijtihād (independent reasoning), have begun casting doubts and raising objections about the biography (sīrah) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They have become advocates of Western thought, echoing its criticisms, and targeting the foundational elements of the Prophetic legacy. The study aims to critically examine modernist thought—its origins, development, and influence—while addressing a number of the objections it raises concerning the life and character of the Prophet ﷺ. Through an analytical lens, the research seeks to dismantle the premises underlying these critiques and to re-establish a principled defense rooted in traditional scholarship. The researcher concludes that modernism emerged from a distinctly Western context shaped by specific historical and sociopolitical circumstances. With its eventual dominance in the West, segments of the Muslim intelligentsia came under its influence due to increased interaction and cultural exchange. Modernist approaches to Islamic texts and tradition are fundamentally rooted in historicism, rationalism, and interpretive relativism. This methodology often involves deconstructing the text by either denying its historicity, rejecting it on rational grounds, or reinterpreting it in a manner inconsistent with classical understanding.
