Abstract | ||
This study examines the attitudes of postgraduate students (General Diploma – Special Diploma / Pre-Master’s – PhD) at Ain Shams University toward the utilization of ChatGPT in both theoretical and practical faculties, encompassing a total of five faculties, The study sample comprised ( 309) participants. The research aimed to trace the historical evolution of artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on key milestones in the development of ChatGPT, Furthermore, it sought to assess its contributions to enhancing the educational process, identify the most frequently utilized applications among the study sample, and analyze its psychological, social (both positive and negative), ethical, and legal implications from their perspective, Additionally, the study explored participants’ views on the future prospects of ChatGPT, highlighted major challenges associated with its use, and proposed recommendations for its effective and responsible integration on a broader scale, Adopting a descriptive-analytical methodology, the study revealed that the overall sample demonstrated a highly positive attitude toward the use of ChatGPT, with an average score of (4.62),Moreover, (91.3%) of the participants acknowledged its role in enhancing the learning experience and fostering critical, creative, and innovative thinking skills, Additionally,( 97.4%) of respondents indicated that ChatGPT would serve as a crucial tool in assisting with various academic tasks, The study’s key recommendations emphasize the necessity of encouraging faculty members to adapt their curricula and instructional methodologies to incorporate artificial intelligence technologies. It also advocates for the strategic integration of ChatGPT into the educational and research domains to optimize its benefits. | ||
