| Waterfronts are a vital element in the urban landscape of heritage cities, as they integrate aesthetic, environmental, and cultural values. This research focuses on studying the waterfronts of the Sayilah of Old Sana’a, which form a significant part of the city's architectural heritage. The study aims to analyze the role of these waterfronts in enhancing the city's heritage identity by highlighting their historical value and utilizing them as aesthetic and environmental elements that contribute to improving urban quality of life. Additionally, the study explores how these waterfronts can serve as a bridge between the past and the present by integrating them into urban development projects that preserve their heritage identity while meeting contemporary community needs. An analytical methodology was employed, utilizing a case study approach to examine the waterfronts of the Sayilah of Old Sana’a. The research concluded that these waterfronts contribute to the sustainability of architectural heritage by fostering cultural awareness among residents and visitors and enhancing the visual and functional interaction between the city and its Sayilah. The study recommends the development of integrated strategies for preserving these waterfronts within the boundaries of Old Sana'a, including policies to protect them from degradation and initiatives to reactivate their role as an essential environmental component. | ||
