| Abstract | ||
| Different preparations of chinaberry fruits were evaluated against the 6th instar larvae of S. littoralis. Meridic diet, when mixed with the different chinaberry preparations at 5, 10 and 30% (Wt./wt.) prolonged development and decreased weight gain of the larvae. Both roasted and unroasted seed meal prevented the formation of pupa regardless of the concentration tested. Activity of chinaberry preparations were found to be close to Neem- seed and similar in activity to insect growth regulators | ||
