| Abstract | ||
| الملخص هدفت الدراسة التعرف على أبرز التحديات والمشكلات التي يواجهها النزلاء في مركز الإصلاح والتأهيل في محافظة بيت لحم، سواء داخل المركز أو خارجه. وقد تم الاستعانة بالمنهج الكيفي، واستخدمت المقابلة كأدة لجمع البيانات من الميدان، وطبقت على عينة قصدية بلغت (8) نزلاء ونزيلات، بالإضافة إلى (5) من العاملين في المركز. أظهرت النتائج أن النزلاء يواجهون مشكلات اجتماعية عميقة تتعلق بالوصمة الاجتماعية، ومقاطعة الأسرة، والتهديد بالانتقام بعد انتهاء مدة الحكم، إلى جانب نقص الدعم العاطفي والاقتصادي، وإن أهم التحديات القانونية تتعلق بالبطء في الإجراءات القضائية، مما يُشعر النزلاء بالظلم وانعدام العدالة. كذلك برزت مشاكل صحية متمثلة في غياب الطبيب الدائم، ونقص الأدوية، وافتقار المركز للبنية التحتية الصحية المناسبة، أما على الصعيد النفسي، فقد عبّر النزلاء عن مشاعر القلق والخوف والانفصال عن أسرهم، وغياب وسائل التفريغ النفسي والدعم المهني. وأكد العاملون بدورهم على تكرار الحالات النفسية، وغياب الأخصائي الاجتماعي داخل المركز بشكل دائم، مما حد من القدرة على التعامل المهني مع مشكلات النزلاء اليومية. الكلمات المفتاحية: التحديات، المشكلات، النزلاء، مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل. Abstract This study investigates the key challenges and problems encountered by inmates in the Correctional and Rehabilitation Center in Bethlehem Governorate, both within the facility and beyond. To achieve the purpose of the study, a qualitative approach was employed, using interviews as the primary tool for data collection. The sample consists of eight male and female inmates, along with five staff members from the center. The results of the study revealed that inmates face profound social challenges, including social stigma, family estrangement, and threats of retaliation following release, coupled with insufficient emotional and financial support. The most critical legal issue identified was the slow pace of judicial procedures, which fostered perceptions of injustice and lack of fairness. Health-related concerns included the absence of a resident physician, shortages of medication, and inadequate healthcare infrastructure. Psychologically, inmates reported feelings of anxiety, fear, and disconnection from their families, as well as a lack of outlets for emotional expression and professional psychological support. Staff members further highlighted the recurrence of psychological issues and the absence of a permanent social worker, which constrained their ability to address inmates’ daily problems effectively.
