Abstract | ||||
We now live in an era when the encroachment of modern media and advanced technology from satellites, satellite channels and the information network, which all work to dissolve cultural self and remove popular legacies to replace them with Western cultural values and patterns of behavior that have nothing to do with our civilization and authenticity, and with the occurrence of Arab society in Families of foreign intellectual currents and ideologies that dominated the minds for a long time and obscured our identity and the absence of creativity resulting from ourselves and our culture to processes of transportation and simulation that are inconsistent with our nature and our Arab personality, which requires emphasizing and reviving the Egyptian folklore and from here the researcher sees the need to revive the Nubian heritage through Contemporary inspired designs. The Nubian heritage is one of the most important sources of design and artistic creativity, and the Nubian folklore represents one of the most important folk traditions that confirm our Egyptian identity, and the Nubian half is located in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the other half is in the Republic of Sudan, and this heritage represents important and influencing values in our heritage The nationalist, as it is characterized by simplicity, innate nature, and dependence on the environment surrounding it. Preserving this popular heritage and reformulating it in a way that is compatible with contemporary reality is the best way to affirm our cultural and Arab specificity. The problematic of this research is the loss of the design thought of the Nubian heritage in the design of Egyptian fashion and the tyranny and domination of the culture of the age of the machine and currents and foreign intellectual doctrines and the smashing of the creative spirit stemming from popular culture, as well as the contemporary designer's departure from dealing with the characteristics and features of the Nubian heritage in works and resort to modern artistic doctrines. This research aims to elicit the most important features that distinguished the design thought of the Nubian heritage as well as to create a group of contemporary Egyptian designs "collection" inspired by the Nubian heritage for the summer of 2017. The study took the descriptive analytical approach as a research tool through two main axes - the "first axis" deals with a brief overview of the concept of heritage and Nubia and its location and eliciting the most important features of design thought that characterized the Nubian heritage from "functional, formal, cultural and environmental" features. The symbolic system was also addressed For the Nubian heritage and the distinctive colors of the Nubian heritage, the "second axis" includes studying his analysis of the most important vocabulary of Nubian dress and creating designs inspired by the Nubian heritage according to the fashion trends of the summer of 2017. The Nubian folklore has been utilized in preparing a set of designs of an Egyptian nature and compatible with contemporary and modern global trends and reflecting that the Nubian heritage is characterized by many "functional, formal, cultural and environmental" features that have gained its distinctiveness and originality, and that the attributes of functional design thinking have been achieved The formal, cultural and environmental "in Egyptian and contemporary fashion designs according to the fashion trends of summer 2017, which represents a competitive advantage for the Egyptian fashion industry from other foreign and Egyptian countries. | ||||
