Abstract | ||||
This study dealt with the different patterns of Arabian author’s behaviors in accessing information, factors affecting these behaviors, the most important causes that drive Arabian author’s to historical information research, their original resources for getting information, and the obstacles that hinders them on research, in this study, the researcher relied on the analytical descriptive method and the data collection tool, questionnaire, to describe and analyze Arabian author’s behaviors. The study concluded with a set of results, the most prominent of which was that more than half of the sample do not know how to search for information on the Internet, and that they do not use specific search strategies to search for information on the Internet, The researcher also presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which was not relying on some sites such as Wikipedia, as well as pages and forums on social networking sites to obtain historical information because they are not subject to scientific documentation standards and recognition as an explicit information source, and the need to use one or more of the Information search strategies during the search process to obtain information with high degrees of accuracy and up to date. | ||||
