The rapid increase in global energy consumption has resulted in increased interest in energy and taking into account its effects, as this rapid increase in energy consumption has resulted in fears of the end of energy sources and the increase in environmental pollution, which in turn affects people and the building sector with what it occupies of a large area, and with increasing awareness of the environment and its problems. Attention to it has become an interest in energy efficiency in buildings and improving energy quality in them, so value engineering has been directed to improve this quality and value engineering is a system with a history of improving product value by improving efficiency and improving the product life cycle. It is an organized process that has been used effectively on a large scale in companies and institutions. It is an amalgamation of management sciences and engineering sciences Value engineering is a specific and very efficient method for determining the efficiency of consumption in the product or project, and the application of value engineering at the beginning of any project that works to increase the efficiency in it, and because energy calculations are over a long range, the best way to calculate energy and its consumption is through life cycle cost calculations to know The effect of this consumption on the life span of the structure or component on which the effect of energy consumption is being studied. Therefore, life cycle cost calculations are part of the value engineering studies. The aim of the research is to reach an approach to improving energy efficiency in buildings through the application of value engineering techniques in order to achieve energy efficiency in energy consumption in the building and reach that by using value engineering techniques in developing solutions and alternatives that enable us to reach the required quality and at the same time reduce costs and costs The approach used in this research is the value engineering approach, where value engineering techniques and methodologies have been applied in reaching energy efficiency in the building, and one of the most important results reached in this research is to find a methodology through the sequence of its steps, we can achieve energy efficiency in the building. | ||||
