Abstract | ||||
A general formula for the bit error rate (BER) of 2-D time-spreading wavelength-hopping (TW) optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) systems under the impact of four-wave mixing (FWM) is derived. The results show the detrimental effect of FWM on the system performance at high chip power levels; resulting in a 4dB penalty at a power of 15dBm. | ||||
