Abstract | ||||
Two field experiments were carried out at second Belkas f"rm, Dakahlia governorate, Egypt in 1999/2000 and 2000 12001 seasons to study the! effect off OUT Nitrogen rates Le. 60,80,100 and 120 Kg. N I fed. [as ammonium nitrate (33.5%N) on yield and juice quality of sugar beet variety Ras poly. The experiments were laid out In Randomized Complete Block Design. Applying Nitrogen rertilizer at the rate of 80 and 100~. N !fed. gave the highest values of the chemical constituents or fresh sugar beet roots.lncreasing Nitrogen up to 120 kg. N Ifed. can be significantly increased root yield, top yield and sugar yield .On the other hand (sucrose %. juice ~rity %. Na%. K% white sugar extrable %and quality) decreased With increasing nitrogen fertilizer rate up to 120 Kg.N %red. In the average of both seasons. while this nte of N increased ash %,IXN%. fiber 0/0, redUCing sugars 'Yoand T8S%. | ||||
