Abstract | ||||
The main objective of this study is to determine the factors affecting Tomatoes Exports . Egyptian Tomatoes Exports have sever decreasing in the last years from 25.7 thousand tons through the period (1989 -1994) to 5.1 thousand tons through the period (1995 - 2000), which lead to decreasing in Tomatoes market share from 0.97% to 0.28% . The study showed that Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Kuwait are the main markets of Tomatoes Exports . The total quantities which exported to these markets represented about 95.3% , 96.7%, through the period ( 89- 1994 ) , ( 95-2000 ) respectively. The study indicated that the changing in total quantities imported for Saudi Arabia and Lebanon explained about 38% , 53% of changing in Egyptian Tomatoes exports to each of them respectively, while Kuwait Tomatoes production explained about 36% of changing in Egyptian Tomatoes exports to that market. The study explain that increasing exports of tomatoes needs to an effective policy. | ||||
