Abstract | ||||
This research focuses on examining the impact of social media on Public Relations practice. Thus, the systematic research review entailed selecting published articles as secondary data. Hence, to underpin the precepts about PR, the evolution of definition and analysis, the primary milestones such as separation of PR from the idea of propaganda, and increased public relations agencies are vital for the discussion. Hence, the findings show that social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter substantially impact how PR practitioners communicate. It creates the possibility for people and media entities to have impeccable interactions. Moreover, the PR field has attained its objectives by improving relationships with individuals and creating two-way symmetric communication. Overall, the results show that the rise in social media has led to the decline of traditional journalism. | ||||
