The current research aimed to reveal the extent of the contribution of cognitive appraisal in predicting self-regulation for female university students, and it also aimed to reveal the differences in cognitive appraisal and self-regulation according to the variable of the academic specialization (literary - scientific), formed The research sample consisted of (550) female students, The research tools were represented in the cognitive appraisal scale, the self-regulation scale (prepared by the researcher), the results revealed the ability of cognitive appraisal in predicting self-regulation for female university students, and the results also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences between scientific and literary academic specialization groups in the cognitive appraisal as a total degree and in every dimension of the cognitive appraisal scale, as it was found that there are no statistically significant differences between scientific and literary academic specialization groups in self-regulation as a total degree and in each dimension of the self-regulation scale . | ||||
