Abstract | ||||
The research aimed mainly to planning an extension program to develop the knowledge of cattle breeders regarding comprehensive care to neonate calves in Desouqe district Kafr El Sheikh Governorate, A questionnaire form was designed for this purpose. A systematic random sample of 150 respondents from three villages: Gamagmoon, El Safia, Kafr Mager in Desouqe district, percentage, frequencies, arithmetic mean, standard division and weighted mean were used to analyses and present the data. The most important finding of this research was: - The most important problems related to the personal characteristics suffered by the respondents represented in the high rate of illiteracy, and the lack of experience in rising -89.3% of respondents’ cattle breeders their knowledge is low and moderate, -The arrangement of t comprehensive care axes for the studied neonate calves according to the average degrees of knowledge came as follows: calves housing, veterinary care for calves, the process of weaning, feeding the calves, and caring for the calves immediately after birth. | ||||
