| Abstract Egypt's new urban communities are unique in their cities' managing style compared to existing ones. The boards of trustees of new urban communities are managed by the participation of all stakeholders in the decision-making process of the city, its residents and investors. While actually this type of management has highlighted a range of objections as well as having the privilege of participatory planning style. The researcher has experimented with personal experience within the new urban communities as a resident of Sheikh Zayed City for nearly 55 years in addition to being a member of the Board of Trustees of Sheikh Zayed City as a representative of women between mid-1055 and now, which qualified the researcher to set conclusions and recommendations related to this management style. The study aims at presenting and analyzing mechanisms of the boards of trustees' work and showing the obstacles facing these processes, in addition to presenting the most prominent aspects of comparison with the local government system, which is subject to development in the local administration law in the parliament. Legislative amendments to new urban communities will be presented in the current draft law. All this work lead as an attempt to devise the legislative aspects to be modified to contribute to a more efficient management of the urban community. The research also examines the experience of the specialized committees in the boards of trustees as a mechanism to increase interaction with the city's inhabitants. | ||||
