Abstract | ||||
The world, especially Egypt, is facing many successive economic crises over the past years, as well as the effects of climate change. In response, international and Egyptian organizations have called for developing strategies through which they can address these successive crises. As a result of the efforts of researchers in the economic fields, modern concepts such as (the green economy - and the violet economy) have emerged. Many studies have focused on the green economy as one of the economic concepts that seek attention to the environment. The study aimed to identify the concept of the violet economy, one of the pillars of sustainable development, by applying it to five-star hotels, to achieve the objective of the study, the study relied on the analytical descriptive approach and the inductive approach. A questionnaire was distributed to workers in hotels, the study sample, in each of (Cairo - Alexandria - Sharm El Sheikh). The number of distributed forms reached 380, of which 340 were retrieved valid for analysis. The data were analyzed statistically using SPSS v26 program. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant correlation at a significant level of less than 0.05, and the study recommended the need for Egyptian hotels to adopt the practices of the purple economy to achieve sustainable development and confront the economic and climatic crises. | ||||
