| Abstract | ||||
| هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الکشف عن العلاقة بين الضغوط الزوجية والرضا عن الحياة ومدى تأثُّر هذين المتغيرين بمجموعة من المتغيرات الديموغرافية والاجتماعية لدى عيّنة من (257( من المتزوجات بمکة المکرمَّة. وقد تبيَّن من نتائجها ارتباط المتغيرين ببعضهما بصورة دالّة إحصائياً. وفيما يخص تأثُّرهما بالمتغيرات الديموغرافية والاجتماعية، أظهرت الدراسة تذبذباً في نتائجها، حيث تبين أن للعمر أثره على الضغوط الزوجية في حين لم يؤثر على الرضا عن الحياة بصورةٍ دالّة. کما تبين أن درجة الضغوط تتأثر بمستوى تعليم الزوج، في حين لا تتأثر بمستوى تعليم الزوجة، وينعدم تأثير مستوى التعليم لکلا الزوجين على الرضا عن الحياة. کما تبين عدم وجود أثر لنوعية عمل الزوجين أو مستوى دخلهما على کلٍ من الضغوط الزوجية أو الرضا عن الحياة. کما تبين أن المتزوجات حديثاً (أقل من 3 سنوات) أقل معاناة من الضغوط وأکثر رضا عن الحياة مقارنة بالمتزوجات لمدة ما بين (3-6 سنوات) و تختفي هذه الفروق مقارنة بالمتزوجات لفترات أطول، إلا أن الضغوط تعاود الظهور بين المتزوجات لأربعة عشر عاماً فأکثر. کما تبين وجود أثر لعدد الأبناء على الضغوط الزوجية، دون أن يکون ذلک مؤثراً على الرضا عن الحياة، حيث تبين أن الفروق الدالة کانت بين من لا أبناء لهن، وأولئک ممن يعملن على تنشئة خمسة أبناء أو أکثر. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج توصي الدراسة بعمل المؤسسات على توعية الزوجين بأهمية تنظيم عمليات الانجاب، واکسابهنّ الکفايات اللازمة لضمان استمرارية العلاقات الحميمية داخل البيت لمواجهة الضغوط الحياتية. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between material stress and life satisfaction, and to what extent they are influenced by spouses’ demographic and social variables. The study was applied to a sample of (257) married women from Makkah. According to the results, a significant correlation was found between these two variables. However, the study reviled inconsistent results about the effects of other variables in both maternal stress and life satisfaction. While the age affected significantly the subjects’ maternal stress, it had no effect on their life satisfaction. The level of education had also limited influence, husbands’ education had a significant influence on the material stress only. Moreover, no effect was found for both spouses’ work and income. The length of marriage had a limited effect, women of less than three years of marriage experienced less stress comparing to others of (3-6) years of marriage, However, maternal Stress increased significantly among those of 14- or more years of marriage compared to the first group only. Results also showed that having five or more caused a higher level of Maternal stress compared to those who have no children, but had no effect on the women’s life satisfaction. In the lights of these results, this study recommends providing educational programs in birth control, and the skills of minting marital intimacy. | ||||
