Abstract | ||||
: The research aimed to determine the level of need of the agricultural extension organization for digital transformation requirements from the point of view of the agricultural extension workers respondents, and to determine the relative importance of those requirements from their point of view. This research was conducted with agricultural extension inspectors and extension specialists assisting them in agricultural departments at the level of administrative centers in four randomly selected governorates, namely Gharbia, Qalyubia, Fayoum, and Marsa Matruh. Data were collected during July 2023 from 155 respondents through a questionnaire ,numerical and relative frequency distribution tables, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted arithmetic mean and average score were used to analyze the data and present the results. The most important results were as follows: The results showed that the needs level of the agricultural extension organization for the studied digital transformation requirements was high for both the requirement of developing a digital transformation strategy, the mechanism for evaluating digital extension and training programs, laws and legislation, the information security requirements, implementing digital transformation, and finally the requirement of improving the extension service appropriate for implementing digital transformation This represents 92%, 88%, 82%, 86%, 86%, and 90% of the respondents’ opinions, respectively., and the results showed that the requirement to improve the guidance service is at the forefront of the requirements in terms of the general average value of 3.71 degrees for that item, and the middle of them was the requirement Laws and legislation had an overall average score of 3.65, while the evaluation of digital guidance and training programs was at the end of those requirements with an overall average of 3.59.. | ||||
