Abstract
        حرکة التحديث والتطوير لا تنتهي تجاوباً مع متغيرات العصر في شتى المجالات. تتناول هذه الورقة دور المساءلة في تشکيل حرکة الاصلاح التربوي المبنى على المعايير والمتطلبات التشريعية المختلفة ومدي تأثيرات هذه السياسات المختلفة وانعکاسها على تشکيل التربية الخاصة من أجل تغيير الممارسات على مستوى المناطق التعليمية والمدارس لدعم الاطفال ذوى الاعاقة، وتوصلت الورقة الى نتيجة مفادها أن الاصلاح لابد أن يکون أکثر من مبادرة إلي استراتيجية کاملة طويلة المدى ومبنى على نظام مساءلة دقيق ومدى يراعي جميع البيانات والظروف.
          In response to the various continuous changes posed by contemporary life, modernization and development movement never comes to an end. This article tackles the role of accountability in shaping an educational reform movement that is based on standards and different legislative requirements. It also examines the effects and implications of these policies on reshaping special education towards changing practices at the levels of school districts and individual schools for the purpose of supporting students with special needs. The article concluded that individual initiatives can not suffice for reform. There is a need for a comprehensive long-run strategy based on an accurate and flexible accountability system that takes all environments and circumstances into consideration.
